| Dr. Sheldon Pavel, the 13th President of Central High School has been at the helm for a quarter of a century. Affable, witty, and student-friendly, he is easily accessible by students and alumni alike. He is the ambassador of good will for the CHS of today. He quips with the students, appears on 'You Tube', has his own website and is respected for the creative leadership that he has provided. He became the President at a time when CHS had become co-ed and was struggling to maintain its own identity as the icon it is educationally. He has excelled at recasting our Dear Old High.
