WCAU-TV, Channel 10's favorite worm was Willie. His creator William Wright spent $4.72 ata local Pep Boys to but materials to fabricate Willie. He was part-philosopher and enthralled the children of the time. His show went national. You will remember Newton the Mouse...he was the invisible friend of Willie and was the projectionist for the cartoons that were so much a party of the show.
