Central High School Philadelphia 214th Class Website
Yeah, I know. The much anticipated '60' is not for another seven months! But, I can't help it. I'm excited already. The Reunion Committee has been meeting, and the tentative details of the Reunion are listed below as well as on our New FACEBOOK page ('214th class 60th class reunion').
By the time of our reunion- on October 2nd, 2020, the new $42M Fine and Performing Arts Center construction will be well on its way---see the webpage 'Arts Center' for the facts and figures. The $42M beautiful state-of-the art- facility will sit on the north side of the building adjacent to Ogontz Avenue.
As noted above, The Reunion Committee has met several times, and as it stands now, the ruminations of the members have produced the following events for the 60th reunion:
The date is Friday, October 2, 2020
Mark your calendars!
The plans include a morning tour of the school with current students serving as our guides, a visit to the School Store to stock up on CHS paraphernalia (for the grandkids, of course), and a sumptuous catered lunch. Those of you who have not been back to Central recently will be impressed by all of the changes and modernization of the eighty year- old building (1939 ).
The evening event will be held at the same venue as our 55th reunion- the Marriott Old City (formerly the Society Hill Sheraton) located on Columbus Boulevard (formerly Delaware Avenue) in the shadow of the Ben Franklin Bridge. Rooms will be available for those staying overnight.
The evening activities will feature a stag cocktail hour and dinner- filled with shmoozing and reminiscing- while our significant others enjoy their dinner to catch up; they will be joining us for dessert.
To see and kibbitz with our friends and classmates once again is one of life's great pleasures. Do not miss this next gathering of the 214th class.
Check back to the website for the particulars of registration, payment and such.

P.S. See you on the South Lawn. I'll save you a spot.
